Invoice price means the price you paid for your insured vehicle (including any factory and retailer fitted options at time of purchase). It does not include any amount above the market value of your insured vehicle on the date of purchase, insurance premiums, warranty costs, fuel or any other amounts included in the invoice.

The policy covers any shortfall between the motor insurer's valuation of the vehicle as agreed by us and the invoice price of your current vehicle. All costs relating to the purchase of a replacement vehicle are your responsibility.

Cover can be taken out for 1, 2, 3 or 4 years.

As well as our claim form, you will need to provide:

  • a copy of the engineer's report if applicable
  • details of any replacement vehicle and excess paid
  • a copy of any applicable finance agreement
  • written confirmation from the finance company of the early settlement amount and how it has been calculated will be required
IMPORTANT: Please note that you must not accept your motor insurer's valuation of the vehicle without consent from our Claims Department.

The remaining period of the Shortfall policy will be applied to the replacement vehicle.

Yes. As long as the vehicle has been purchased in the company name. The shortfall settlement amount will be returned to the company, not the driver.

You can cancel your policy within 30 days of receiving the Policy Documents and providing you have not made a claim, we will refund all the premiums you have paid.

After 30 days and providing you have not made a claim, we will refund any premium you have paid pro-rata to the unexpired period of cover remaining. We will charge an administration fee of £15 which will be deducted from any refund payable.
