BMW Shortfall Insurance.

This policy is designed to pay the difference between the invoice price and your motor insurance settlement or the early settlement amount if your BMW retailer purchased vehicle is declared a total loss.

Please refer to your policy documents for full details of the cover provided under this policy.

If you download the claim form from our online facility, please note you will need to print the relevant claim form off your computer before completing it. Alternatively please call BMW Protect Services on 0345 641 9735 and one of our claim handlers will be able to register your claim for you and send you a claim pack.

Please have your Policy Number and Vehicle Registration ready when you call. Our lines are open 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday.

In order for us to progress your claim quickly you will be required to send your completed claim forms to us as soon as possible.

If you accept a settlement offer from your motor insurer for a total loss without our consent, we may settle your claim using the current market value of the insured vehicle according to Glass's Guide retail value, not the settlement offered by your motor insurer.

You must provide any other details we request that relate to your claim before we will consider any payments.

Please be aware before we assess any claim we will need the following information:

  • Written confirmation of the motor insurance settlement offer following your claim for total loss;
  • Copies of the original sales invoice or receipt related to the insured vehicle; A copy of any applicable finance agreement;
  • Written confirmation from the finance company of early settlement amount and how it was calculated.
  • A copy of your current Motor Insurer Certificate plus engineer's report if applicable and details of any replacement vehicle and excess paid.

BMW Tyre Insurance.

This policy is designed to help contribute towards the unexpected cost of repairing or replacing your tyres if they are damaged.

BMW Excess Protection Insurance.

This policy is designed to cover insurance excess payments you have to make or that have been deducted from a claim settlement for your motor and if applicable home and annual travel insurance.

  • A copy of the main insurers insurance certificate
  • A letter from the insurer of your main insurance policy showing the details of the claim settlement and the excess they have deducted
  • As much evidence as possible to support your claim
  • Details of any other insurance you may have that may cover the same loss

BMW Cosmetic Repair Insurance.

This policy is designed to cover minor damage to your car. Please refer to your policy documents for full details of the cover provided.

If you need to make a claim, please ensure that you do so within 30 days of identification of damage by contacting the BMW Protect Services team on 0345 641 9735. They will log your claim and then ask the repairing Retailer to contact you to arrange a suitable date to take your car in to their BMW Retailer.

Please have your policy number and car registration number ready when you call.

BMW Alloy Wheel Repair Insurance.

This policy is designed to cover minor damage to your car's alloy wheels. Please refer to your policy documents for full details of the cover.

If you need to make a claim, please ensure that you do so within 30 days of identification of damage by contacting the BMW Protect Services team on 0345 641 9735. They will log your claim and then ask the repairing Retailer to contact you to arrange a suitable date to take your car in to their BMW Retailer.
